Sustainable Aviation Design
The process systems used at airports; fueling, BHS, ramp services, checkpoints and bag drop/custody transfer, are all energy and resource intensive. For that reason, sustainability is paramount. Swanson Rink continues to explore opportunities to bring energy efficient and new carbon reducing strategies to our projects. For instance, we have executed several all-electric ramp solutions, are familiar with the biofuel opportunities, and have provided the necessary support for successful acquisition of a LEED gold certification because of the improved efficiencies of outbound BHS.
